Allbirds is an American-New Zealand company making shoes and clothes from natural materials such as Merino wool and eucalyptus tree fibre, which they blended together to invent a new yarn called Trino. Every product comes with a carbon footprint, encompassing emissions in production, development, customer use and disposal.

Production

Allbirds focus on reducing their carbon footprint through regenerative agriculture, renewable materials and responsible energy; they already claim to be carbon-neutral through offsets, and are working to reduce their footprint to eliminate the need for offsets.

Use

Closing the loop

Allbirds don't appear to have a scheme for dealing with shoes at the end of their life.
